a california based company, Solyndra, has designed completely new PV (photo voltaic) systems that come as very efficient alternatives to the currently used solar panels. what's extremely interesting abt this system is that it uses cylindrical modules instead of flat ones which can convert direct, diffused & reflected sunlight into electricity from any direction. the installation is very easy as well. meaning little or no installation costs.
