rain poem

Drrr drrrr, DRRNG DRRng, drrrrr, drrr, DRRNG,
A lonesome Yamaha engine roared into a thundering night,
Of steady patters on muddy paths, and a luminous murky sky,
There’s wind through window, silhouette light on naked calf
Lying arrogantly assured, as pitter patter went rainy dark.
Are we lonely tonight - hear silence of constantly battered puddles
Mimicking the earth groans, each answering rhythm
Playing an old story; like farce, guileless viva of three year olds.
